Our mission

Catalyze brings together exceptional founders and a new wave of funding to launch projects that bend the trajectory of transformative AI toward a better world.

Many AI experts believe we have just a few years to shape where transformative AI goes. While AI capabilities move forward at a blistering pace, many of the fundamental requirements for safe AI and resilient societies remain unbuilt.

Funding isn’t the problem. Billions of dollars are waiting to be deployed. What the field lacks is world-class founders who are launching and scaling the organizations that address its most important bottlenecks.

At Catalyze we find these founders, whether they have built companies before or are experts in their own field. We help them choose the right problem, then connect them with funders and with the experts who know that problem best, so they can launch companies and nonprofits to solve it.

The Catalyze team

The Funding Network

Two networks for seed and pre-seed funders, one for investors and one for grantmakers.

  • Catalyze Investor Network

For VCs and angel investors who can invest $50K or more a year in early-stage startups. Members co-invest, and each decides independently.

  • Seed Funding Circle

For individuals and foundations who can donate $50K or more a year to new nonprofits. Members decide for themselves or defer to expert regrantors. At this stage, $50K to $300K can be enough to launch an ambitious new organization.

Rounds run 2–4 times a year. In each round, members get access to a set of curated early-stage organizations. Expect 2 to 10 hours per round, with no minimum financial commitment.

Catalyze Impact is a 501(c)(3) public charity incorporated in Colorado.
