Alexandra aims to contribute to a better world through non-profit entrepreneurship. After conducting elaborate prioritization research into the most impactful things to work on in our time, she decided to initiate setting up Catalyze. She previously studied Governance, Economics and Development, and founded and led TEDxLeidenUniversity.

Mick Zijdel
Mick is an operations generalist with a background in software development, theatre operations, and supporting student organizations. After learning more about AI risk, he pivoted his career to support new founders and organizations to make a positive impact in the AI Safety field.

Anusha has a strong background in running accelerator programs for startups and founding her own successful social enterprise. Leveraging her experience in scaling ventures, she transitioned her career to focus on supporting organizations through operations, program design, and partnerships, aiming to drive maximum impact across diverse industries.

Co-director at MATS
Ryan Kidd
Ryan is the co-director of ML Alignment & Theory Scholars (MATS), an AI safety-focused educational seminar and independent research program. He is also a board member and cofounder of the London Initiative for Safe AI (LISA), and a regrantor at Manifund. Previously he completed a PhD in Physics at the University of Queensland (UQ), where he ran UQ’s Effective Altruism student group for three years.
COO/CFO at Timaeus
Stan van Wingerden
Stan is the COO/CFO of Timaeus, an AI safety research organization dedicated to making breakthrough fundamental progress on technical AI Alignment. Their research focus is on Developmental Interpretability Singular Learning Theory. Previously Stan was the CTO at an Algorithmic Trading Fund, an ML Researcher, and studied Theoretical Physics & Philosophy.

Magdalena Wache
Magdalena is a technical AI Safety researcher at MATS. She has a Master's degree in Machine Learning and is excited about supporting other alignment researchers. Previously, she has organized the AI Safety Europe Retreat, and was involved in founding the European Network for AI safety.

Jan-Willem van Putten
Jan-Willem is an impact-focused serial entrepreneur. He leverages his management consulting and for-profit experience to create positive societal change through innovative training programs. He co-founded Training For Good and has a strong focus on EU AI Policy.

Kay Kozaronek
Kay is a self-taught generalist with a background in business and technical AI Safety. Prior to Catalyze, he was Co-founder and AI Safety Researcher at Cadenza Labs and participated in MATS. He is deeply involved in the AI Safety ecosystem and has worked with ARENA, CAIS and BlueDot Impact.
